No Internet

Ok so I am having to blog from my balckberry today ALL because our neighborhood cut off their wi-fi. My blogs will not be very long because as you know-my fingers get bored of texting this out. So the weather is supposed to be almost 70 degrees today-not only that, it's the Hubs Birthday! We aren't doing much of anything because we are on a low budget right now, but I definitely have a walk in the park in mind!

Highlights

What a day! This AM I had to get up early-something I never do, but should start doing since Bentley will be here soon. I had to take Christian to work (his car has been in the shop going on 3 months) this AM and ended up being late for my Fire Dept. outing. I was dead set on getting my sausage biscuit (which I did) that nothing in the world meant anything to me...except that biscuit. Piggish I know, lol. Anyway! RFFD worked our butts off and directed a huge bicycle race from all around pro's...WAIT! Let me back up! We held a slow/stop sign up for traffic. Now, the bad part is, I got wind burn on my lips-ouch!
I ended up leaving the race early to go with mama for a hair appointment. I now have blonde highlights and I feel sexy! I feel like I look like my sister more which I don't like. I like looking like my own self :) I'm not sure if it looks right, but I like feeling like a new person, lol. Oh, I forgot to add RED lips to the new look too, lol. That's temporarily for a week...hate the wind!
Facebook...Facebook...Facebook...!! Oh how I love thee!! Yes, I am a junky and I am trying to narrow so much of my time on there. It's very addicting...VERY. Well, I hope you had an interesting day as much as I did-wasn't boring that's for sure! Ya'll have a good night!

I am trying to figure out how to blog from my berry, LOL!

Pickled Eggs

Last night I got the wild hair to make pickled eggs! The Hubs went out and bought the ingredients I needed and I was up 'till midnight:30 pickling and boiling vinegar. Needless to say, my house smelt like garlic and vinegar-talking about my eye balls burning! I have 29 days to go until I can twist the top-yum!
It is 50 degrees outside and it feels wonderful! Talking about living in South Carolina! One day it's 65 degrees and it's snowing the day after. I am ready for Spring-I am not a warm weather person, but it sounds good right about now. I am ready to lay out by the pool and walk downtown-C'mon sun! You have no idea how excited I am to have my blog up and running again-feels like I am free again, lol. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do!

Can't Resist Thursday

1box Betty Crocker® Original Supreme brownie mix (with chocolate syrup pouch)

Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
Filling
3 1/2cups powdered sugar
1/4cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4cup whipping cream
1package (3 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/4teaspoon mint extract
4drops green food color
Topping
1/2cup whipping cream
1bag (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
1/2cup butter (do not use margarine)

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. Make and bake brownie mix as directed on box for 13x9-inch pan, using water, oil and eggs. Cool completely, about 1 hour.

  • In large bowl, beat filling ingredients with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Spread over cooled brownies. Refrigerate about 1 hour or until set.

  • Meanwhile, in 2-quart nonstick saucepan, heat topping ingredients over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until melted and smooth. Cool about 10 minutes or until lukewarm.

  • Pour topping over filling; spread to cover. Refrigerate uncovered about 2 hours or until set. Before cutting into bars, let stand 10 minutes at room temperature. For bars, cut into 8 rows by 4 rows. Store covered in refrigerator.

Stay at Home Wifey is back!

WOW! I seriously didn't think that I would reactivate my account! So much has happened since I last posted a while back, but I am starting fresh. I will be doing everything the same like I did last time so make sure you come back each day and check my blog out.
 Since my last post:
  • The Hubs and I found out what little Miller is.
  • The name is Bentley James Miller.
  • We FINALLY have the Hubs car out of the shop.
  • Repainting the house is in action (Bentley's nursery is finished).
  • Christian got his full time position.

Much more has happened, but those were the every day posts that I would constantly blog about! Here is what to come:
  • Monday-Hubby Monday
  • Thursday-Can't resist Thursday
  • Friday-Bentley's growth update.
My post will be later today, so stay tuned! Thanks!
